Meet the Sott Lab |
Alison has multiple affiliations beyond her primary appointment. She is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology in the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Additionally, she is an ongoing visiting researcher at the Maastricht Multimodal Molecular Imaging (M4I) Institute at Maastricht University. Her highly collaborative group works on challenging problems in infectious disease, focusing on the pulmonary host-pathogen interface and the role of lipids in neuroinflammation and aging. These diverse projects involve worldwide collaborators ranging from Europe, Japan, Australia, and Mexico, to the rich scientific hub that is the DC, Maryland, Virginia region.

We are applying advanced analytical methods to identify and target solutions for old, yet unresolved problems.
